Community Service Updates

Dear Fellow Members,

During this season of giving, we sometimes feel overwhelmed by the purchase of holiday gifts, the preparations for feasts, and outreached hands. Please don't forget our neighbors in need, who face challenges for lack of resources or because they'd have been displaced from their homes due to domestic violence.

Please do remember them with your generosity either with material goods or checks.

The requested needs below may be brought to the annual Holiday Luncheon at Wing Point Golf and Country Club on December 15th.

Remember.....

"Being generous of spirit is a wonderful way to live"- Pete Seeger

Barb's Berets Project

As this year draws to a close, I would like to thank the many volunteers who have contributed so much to the Barb's Beret Project. Your efforts have created dozens of berets that are so appreciated by the women and men receiving them.

Recently, the sewing circle met at the home of Chris Peterson where berets were embellished in an effort to make the holidays a bit cheerier for those undergoing cancer treatment. We will be meeting next on Monday, January 9, 2017. Time and location to be determined. Please join us for a cup of tea or glass of wine as we embellish another supply of berets.

Thank you,

Lenae Jenkins-BIWC President
