Annual Fundraiser
Each year BIWC holds a fundraiser to raise money in support of our annual grant program. Recently, the BIWC fundraiser has been a silent auction and dinner party. Members, has well as many local merchants, donate a wonderful assortment of auctions items. Members, spouses and guests are all invited to attend this enjoyable evening event.
Annual Grant Presentation and Pot-luck Luncheon
As one of the tenets of our mission statement, BIWC works hand in hand with the community to support various causes. Perhaps the best example is our annual grant program in which local non-profit organizations are awarded grants to assist in the continuation of their worthwhile programs and services. Past recipients have included Arms Around Bainbridge, Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island, Housing Resources Bainbridge, YWCA – Alive!, Teen Talking Circles and West Sound Wildlife Shelter.
Grants are awarded at our annual potluck luncheon and recipients are invited to share a short presentation of the programs they provide to our community.
Holiday Luncheon
Each year BIWC holds a holiday luncheon on the third Thursday of December. Recent locations have included IslandWood and Wing Point Golf & Country Club. All members and their guests are encouraged to attend. In past years, attendees have enjoyed a gift exchange as well as a raffle for prizes.
Summer Luncheon
BIWC concludes its year with the annual summer luncheon held the third Thursday of June. At this time, retiring BIWC Board members are acknowledged and incoming members to the Board are installed in their new positions. Past luncheons have been held at the Manor House and Wing Point Golf & Country Club.
